GatorSkins® Thermal Top is made with patented Light Weight Thermal Technology, with its remarkable heat capacity maintains body temperature without weighing you down. GatorSkins® shirts are made with knitted sleeve cuffs to keep cold air out and crew collars to keep out of the way of other gear the rider may be using. The shirts also have extra long tails to stay tucked in while leaning forward when riding.

Fitting the GatorSkins® shirt
The shirt is most often worn over a cotton t-shirt, though some customers prefer to wear them next to the skin. The shirts should be worn loose like a t-shirt.  Wearing GatorSkins® shirts too tight will impede their water repellent properties and their warming capacity.

  • Water repellent

    When fitted properly GatorSkins® will repel water. Due to our circuitous cross-sectional knitting water will not penetrate the fabric.

     

    Breathability

    Though GatorSkins® repel water they allow air to flow through the fibers. Air molecules are smaller than water molecules and move through the fabric, but the larger water is blocked by the micro fibers and turned away.

     

    Heat retention

    The secret of our performance lies in our patented construction and fabric. Ultra microfibers retain just the right amount of warm air next to the body insulating the body perfectly for a comfortable ride. Though GatorSkins® is a breathable material, it still retains warmth in a miraculous new way. Due to the various fibers used, GatorSkins® have the ability to allow some air to pass and some fibers to warm quickly and effectively hold onto warm air molecules. This second fiber has millions of tiny air pockets that trap warm air thus warming the fibers themselves, creating an inviting and pleasant experience.

    Damage proof

    GatorSkins® will not fray, even if you somehow manage to tear a hole in one of our shirts, it will not fray. Due to the lock knit technology used, the damage will not increase.

Just wanted to let you know how much I am impressed with how fast I got the order!   I don't care how you want to use this but being stationed here in Korea for the us army the product not only gives me comfort while I'm riding my Harley into work but all day while I'm outside in the elements.   But to get this product as fast as I did from order to actually having it in my hands was amazing.  I will spread the word trust me.

I've been riding for better part of 20 yrs and would need to leather up w/ regular thermals or just plain bundle up with layers. I looked like that kid from Xmas story movie. Well I just gave away some of my layers to goodwill and got rid of my regular thermals.

My gatorskin works better then what I thought it would do
I kept an open mind about it and am very happy riding with less but still being warm.

I went with the sites recommendation on size fitment and happy with it's fit.

Southern California had a cold wet winter this year. I purchased a new Ducati over the summer and wasn’t willing to stop riding when it got cold. I came across a review of Gator Skins in Cycle World magazine and ordered a shirt and pants.

The price of the shirt seemed high but I can tell you that they exceeded my expectations. They are so comfortable that I now wear them to lounge around the house at night. The pants have a wide elastic waist band that is very comfortable for extended wear. The shirt is extra long to is doesn’t pull out of my riding pants. The biggest surprise is how stretchy they are. They just seem to stay put without binding or chafing. I will be purchasing the Balaclava and another set of shirts\pants for next winter.
